Premium Flexi-Cork Coasters, Placemats, Hotplates & Sets

Our Premium Flexi-Cork products use a dual-layer soft-backed cork substrate and are finished with an advanced technology U.V coating. This unique heat-proof coating is specially formulated to increase product durability and lifespan while keeping them virtually maintenance free (basic wiping). This mid-range product allows for a sophisticated product that will last a long time while remaining cost effective enough to use in a variety of different applications including promotional. Here is the basic 3-step process by which we manufacture your custom flexi-cork products:

The Process:

The whole process begins with you, the client, in selecting and supplying the art for the project. We will from there ensure that the image quality is of sufficiently high technical quality and proceed from there.

Bottom Layer (Cork)

This layer consists of a semi-absorbent and non warping cork that provides a non-slip surface for the base of the coaster. Color may not be exactly as shown as we use genuine cork.

Top (Image) Layer

This layer is the printed image layer. This layer is the final layer, getting fused onto the hardboard substrate after printing. This image is printed on a very high quality digital press and them run through what is called on offline UV coater. This machine serves to permeate the image layer with a light liquid coating, that when exposed to our UV light, will form a heat, light, and moisture resistant surface for your products.

Finishing Touches

Coaster edges can be finished in several ways, with a natural finish being by far the most popular. Sides can be painted or waxed in a variety of colors or metallic paints for an added cost - please call our customer service department for exact pricing.
